Garcin Children’s Summer Camp Treat sponsored by DHL Romania

The children in Garcin had the wonderful opportunity to attend a special camp in Cernadia, fully sponsored by DHL Romania.
For 5 days, 11 Roma children from Garcin school took part in a summer camp and had the most amazing time. The camp, which was organised by the courier company DHL, had leaders from England, Turkey, Hungary, Czech Republic, Oman, and Romania, who are all taking part in one of DHL’s training programmes.
The children participated in a number of fun activities, such as rope courses through the trees, playing in the swimming pool, visiting caves, competing in out door competitions and doing basic English lessons as well as other interactive games. After all this, the children returned home full of joy, and with their hands full of gifts.
This camp represented for the children not only relaxing and having fun, but it was also a vehicle for them to learn new skills.
